Recovery Comedy is proud to present Christopher R. Porter
Biography

When he was a kid the teachers would tell Christopher R. Porter’s mother “He is always in his own little world.” They were right. He was, and still is. Porter has trained with the world famous Groundlings improv group, which launched the careers of Will Farrell and Pee Wee Herman. He has performed stand-up in twenty-seven states and Canada, and regularly appears in Hollywood’s premier comedy clubs: The Laugh Factory, and the Comedy Store.

Chris is a true friend of the recovery community. For the last twelve years he has produced and performed in hundreds of shows in over forty drug and alcohol recovery houses across Southern California, and has many letters of appreciation to show for it. No stranger to the world of addiction much of Christopher’s act centers on his fathers battle with alcoholism and his strange life of being brought up by a mother with a heavy gambling problem.

A trained voice-over artist, Chris has appeared on Comedy Central and starred in the sci-fi  movie spoof Babarellas. Some mornings you can catch him playing one of his many bizarre characters on the nationally syndicated radio show Mancow’s Morning Madhouse.
